Between the day of our birth and the day of our death, we at times enjoy health, wealth and prosperity; at others we struggle with disease, poverty and adversity. Some things bring us pleasure; others pain. That’s just life on earth.
But there is one thing that determines our happiness more than any other: access to drinking water. You may be the most fortunate man or woman in the world, without drinking water, you cannot enjoy fullness of life.
Our charity aims to provide a manual tube well costing CHF 300 to every school that needs one. Each well is designed to draw uncontaminated water. Tub well with water pump with filter and store it in a 800 litre tank inculding maintenance for 10 yers cost CHF 800; during the time needed for the country to recover fully from the effects of the war.
Donors are encouraged to pool their contributions. For example, by contributing CHF 40 each, 20 students could fully finance the construction of a tube well as a collective project, and be rewarded by having their names appear on the device built thanks to their generosity.
